Wave Sequence Editing Tricks

As is mentioned in the manual, the wave-sequence editor has a feature built-in to make it easy to enter a series of consecutive waves, like the REZ series and others which flow from one to the other. For the uninitiated, this is done by entering the first wave of the series, then cursoring below it and pressing INSERT, and the next wave will be entered numbered one higher. OR easier still is to enter the highest number of the series first, then just sit there, and the numbers will decrement as you repeatedly hit the insert key, automatically.

If you want to enter a whole bunch of the same wave number (to set things up to create a tune or arpeggio played by one sound, for instance), enter the number which is one BELOW the number of the wave you want, then cursor under that, and hit the INSERT key as many times as you want repetitions of that wave. Then, move back up and change or delete the one-less number you used as a seed/starter wave.

If you have a long list of waves, hitting the cursor button over and over again to move up or down in it gets pretty tedious, but if you place your cursor over the sequence position/line number on the far left, you can use the wheel to glide up or down through the list. Or, with your cursor over a line number, you can simply enter the number you wish to jump to and hit the enter key, and you will be snapped to that position in the sequence.
