Turn on the EX, watching the opening screen. When "Wavestation"
flashes (must have ROM cards removed for this to happen), press
and hold the down-cursor arrow key and the keypad number 4 key
simultaneously. A "special" screen will appear, with your OS
version at the top. Following this, you may press "CONT" to
return to things as normal, or press "INIT RAM" to initialize
your RAM memory so it all contains the contents of the ROM bank
(except for patch 49 of RAM2, which will contain a Diagnostic
patch that sort of needs a footpedal plugged in to be useful.)

DO NOT PRESS ANY OTHER OF THE SOFTKEYS or you risk sending your
Wavestation into permanent loops that may/would require a
serviceman to undo for you (that is, you would render your WS
unuseable!)

CONT or INIT RAM, that's all!

(Those other softkeys - D-IN, D-OUT, SHOW, and KSD - were used
during the development of the WS, and most require that a special
extension box be connected that was used to dump and transfer
various OS infos and perform diagnostics. Without this box [no
you can't get one!], these keys are nothing but dangerous.)
