MIDI Not Responding

      When ever I goto SoundDiver and click on MIDI Request, I get a message saying "SysEx Communication Error K5000W didn't respond." I doubled check the MIDI Cable.
 
 

      I've had the same problem (and still do!) The blame is placed by Emagic upon Opcode's interface (I have an 8-Port SE), but whoever's fault it is, it is a mighty persistent problem.

      Here's the workaround. When installing the patches (do not use auto scan to request the patches, only to find the device), be on the memory manager page and press Alt-A to select everything. Then hold the control (CTRL) key down and click on patch 127 for each bank (or any other spot presumed to be empty). Then request the patches, and everything will work fine, I believe.
 
 

      Just to throw in some basic tips, once I turned my local on, and thru (from SoundDiver) off...smooth sailing. BTW, watch out where you rest your arms  when sending data to SD.

The newest version of SD pretty much fixes this problem.
